Some of the latest rumors on this device suggested that HTC would plan making the handset official sometime in September, and it seems that things might be moving into that direction.

In addition to confirming the existence of Desire HD, the online retailer unveiled another upcoming device from HTC, the Desire Z, also running under Google's Android operating system.

Not to mention that a great load of specs were published online, which, providing that they are the final specs of these devices, enable us to make an idea of what HTC has in store for its users.

Starting with the already leaked HTC Desire HD, we should note that it would boast a 4.3-inch touchscreen display, a 1GHz application processor, and an 8-megapixel photo snapper with 720p video capture capabilities.

Other specs of this device would include 4GB of internal memory space, and Google's Android 2.2 OS to power it all.

Previous rumors on this device suggested that it would actually land as the European flavor of HTC EVO 4G, and most of its specs point towards that.

As for the second Android-based HTC mobile phone leaked into the wild now, the Desire Z, it should boast lower specs than Desire HD, though adding a sliding QWERTY keyboard into the mix.

The handset should run under the Android 2.1 operating system, while including a 3.7-inch display and HSDPA and Wi-Fi connectivity.

HTC's Sense UI should also be included into the mix, offering fast access to social networking sites, so that users can stay in touch at all times with their friends.

No info on when these handsets would be released on shelves emerge, but late September seems to be a good guess, providing that HTC indeed announces them officially in the middle of that month.
